Villa Legna

Designed by NGA, the residence steps down its hillside in two long cedar-clad volumes, their flat roofs floating above full-height glazed openings. On the living level, an exposed timber ceiling spans a single space — Miele-equipped kitchen, dining and lounge — that opens through sliding glazing onto a terrace running the full width of the house, towards the gulf.

Below, the bedroom suites open directly onto the grounds and the pool terrace. Bathrooms are finished in lime plaster and stone, floors in oak; the palette is drawn from the site itself — cedar, natural granite, olive and pine — so that the architecture reads as part of the Corsican landscape rather than an object placed upon it.

Villa Legna lies within the private domain of Les Parcs de Porto-Vecchio, on the hills above the town — a residential domain laid out among cork oaks, Corsican pines and granite, where plots are generous and houses sit apart from one another.

The estate's 4,900 sqm of grounds occupy the upper slope: mature olive trees, natural granite formations, lawns and terraces forming several distinct outdoor environments. From the terraces the view extends over the tree canopy toward the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio and the surrounding mountains, with the town, its marina and the beaches only minutes below.
